As I prepare for the New Year, I realized I still have four more days in this year. Four more days to accomplish one more “something” that I set out to accomplish in 2012. Four more days to make new friends. Four more days to get started on that workout routine and possibly lose some water weight. Four more days to save some money. Four more days to read a book that’s been on my list. And four more days to build a new business relationship.
But, out of all that I still have four more days to do in 2012; I also realized that some things simply can’t wait four more days and that they need to be done immediately. I can’t wait four more days to ask for God’s forgiveness and thank him for all that he has done in my life. I can’t wait four more days to tell my family and friends that I love them. I can’t wait four more days to mend broken relationships. I can’t wait four more days to show my appreciation to my existing clients. I can’t wait four more days to start accepting me for me. And I can’t wait four more days to start setting my goals for 2013. All of these things must be done today!
In setting my goals, I must distinguish the difference between the things I want to do and the things I must do. Those things I want to do, I still have four more days to do. Those things I must do, I must do today!
You still have time. Time to read this blog and time to reflect on it. But, what you must do today is sign up for the 2013 Goal Setting Workshop. Don’t wait four more days to start making preparations for your New Year. It is too important to wait!
