Another Thanksgiving Day has come and gone. Now that the holiday is over, I have had time to reflect. Follow me over the next four weeks. I will be providing tips to help you jumpstart the new year. Whether you’re seeking a new career, needing professional development, finding your passion, keeping your dream alive, or finding the dream within, you’ll find the information riveting and informative. Along the way, I will also share some of the ups and downs, wins and losses and challenges and opportunities we experienced this year as well as the “New Year. New You.” campaign we have in store for the 2013 year.
I’m amazed that with the number of challenges, downs and losses that we experienced that we came out with far more wins. Some of the things that we’re celebrating for 2012 include becoming certified as a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) and Historically Underutilized Business (HUB); Business Plan; Partnership with CapitalOne Bank’s Getting Down to Business , a seven-week program addressing the core needs of small businesses; Five-month Employee Development Program with the University of North Texas – Dallas Campus; Guest Speaker on C-Radio, informing the listening audience of the impact of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act will have on their businesses; Recipient of Walmart 2012 Innovative Small Business Diversity Award.
