Reflecting on What’s Left in the Year
As I prepare to welcome a new year, I paused and realized something powerful:
I still have four more days in this year.
That’s four more days to:
-
Accomplish just one more thing I set out to do in 2012
-
Make a new friend
-
Start that workout routine and maybe drop a little water weight
-
Save some money
-
Check off a book from my reading list
-
Build a new business relationship
These four days aren’t just leftovers—they’re opportunities.
But Some Things Can’t Wait Four More Days
While there’s still time to finish strong, I’ve also come to another realization:
Some things can’t wait for the clock to strike midnight on New Year’s Eve.
What Needs to Happen Now
I can’t wait four more days to:
-
Ask God for forgiveness and thank Him for all He’s done
-
Tell my family and friends that I love them
-
Mend broken relationships
-
Show appreciation to my current clients
-
Start accepting myself for who I truly am
-
Begin setting clear goals for 2013
These aren’t “year-end tasks”—they’re right-now priorities.
Wants vs. Musts: What Truly Matters
Understanding the Difference
In setting my goals, I’m learning to separate:
-
The things I want to do:
Those still have four more days. -
The things I must do:
Those must start today.
This kind of clarity helps you move with urgency and purpose, rather than just good intentions.
Don’t Wait—Start Your Next Chapter Now
You still have time—time to read this post and reflect on what it means for you.
But what you must do today is simple:
Don’t wait four more days to take charge of your future.
Your goals are too important to delay.
